Rock Rose (Cistus spp.)
The large-flowered varieties of rock rose (Cistus spp. in the Cistaceae family) provide a great morning bee breakfast. Bees love the beautiful rock rose flowers because they are like a big bowl of pollen. The flowers usually also have rich nectar. These evergreen shrubs are medium height and ideal for the garden, on the farm or anywhere else where their spread can be controlled.
